Chinese New Year 2026

Happy Chinese New Year! Our Reception children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year, exploring different cultures and traditions with great curiosity and enthusiasm. The children took part in a range of hands-on experiences. They engaged in messy play inspired by festival celebrations, created beautiful artwork including dragons and lanterns, and enjoyed imaginative role play in our Chinese restaurant and home corner. In PE, the children worked together to perform their very own dragon dance.
