• Tuesday 11 November 2025 Anti Bullying Week Today Reception celebrated Odd Socks Day as part of Anti-Bullying Week.It was a day full of smiles, music, and important messages about being kind, respectful, and proud to be ourselves

• Sunday 9 November 2025 New Gates Thank you for working with us whilst the improvements to our front entrance were completed. Children's safety is always our priority. Next week our chimney is being removed due to deterioration.
• Sunday 9 November 2025 Remembrance Sunday Miss Richard and some year 6 volunteers represented Blakeley at St Benedict Biscop church this morning to lay a wreath at the memorial in the church yard.
• Friday 31 October 2025 Autumn Disco success Thank you to the parents and teachers of the PTA who gave our pupils an amazing time at the school disco on Fri. We raised over £700. Next event- Christmas Fair on 5th Dec. Letter coming out after half term.
• Friday 31 October 2025 Volunteering in the Community Well done to William who has given up his time to help the Best Kept Village team. We are very proud of your efforts to help the community.
• Sunday 26 October 2025 Parent Questionnaire 2025 Thank you for taking the time to complete our parent questionnaire. We had 113 responses which is our highest return and we also had an increase in free text responses. This feedback is essential for us to continue improving as a school and enables us to ensure we continue to do the things which are important to you and your family.
• Sunday 26 October 2025 Yr 1 Sewing Workshop A big thank you to all the Year 1 parents who joined us for our dinosaur puppet workshop! Your support means so much to the children, and we loved seeing everyone's creativity and enthusiasm. What a fun and fantastic afternoon!

• Sunday 5 October 2025 Wombourne Scarecrow Festival Well done to Blakeley Bears Nursery for their excellent entry to the Kingsway Church Scarecrow Hunt.
• Sunday 5 October 2025 Reception Bake Off Reception have gone all ‘Bake off' this week. After reading the story ‘The little red hen' we've been finding out all about bread and how it is made. The highlight on Friday was Mrs Smith demonstrating how to make bread. The children were then very eager to mix, knead and shape to make their own bread rolls to take home. They all looked delicious. We hope you enjoyed eating them.
• Monday 29 September 2025 Victorian Experience Our Yr 6 pupils visited the Black Country Living Museum today. They participated in some lessons based on the 3Rs in school; they had a go on the rides at the fairground; and many of them bought sweets and cakes from the shops.
• Monday 29 September 2025 Extra Curricular clubs-board games This half term we have a key Stage 1 board games club happening on a Thursday 3.30-4.30 The children are all having a wonderful time learning and playing games with their friends.

• Wednesday 24 September 2025 Tooth Dinosaur visits Yr 1 Year 1 had a special visit from NHS dental nurses yesterday! They taught us all about how to take care of our teeth, including which foods and drinks are good (and not so good!) for keeping our smiles healthy. The children listened really well, asked lots of thoughtful questions, and enjoyed learning about dental hygiene in a fun and engaging way!

• Saturday 13 September 2025 New Bikes for EYFS We have had an amazing delivery this week!! We have received brand new trikes and scooters! Reception were eager to get outside and try them and have really enjoyed riding them!

• Saturday 6 September 2025 Ingestre Hall Residential for Yr 4 We are delighted to announce that we have managed to book a residential trip for 2 nights to Ingestre Hall in Stafford for our year 4 pupils in Jan. The children will get the opportunity to choose from a drama, art, animation. dance or music programme. Pupils were given letters yesterday. There is a parent's meeting on Wed at 3.45pm. • Thursday 4 September 2025 Christmas Shoe Box appeal It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school this week.We have been asked to support the Christmas Shoebox appeal by Rev Julia at St Benedict's church. We are asking each class to fill a box of small items and they will be sent to children in Gambia. If you wish to do your own box as a family, please send your box into school by Fri 26th September.Here are some of the items that can be included. We ask for each child to bring one small item into class by Fri 26th September.
